Talent Manager/ Business Partner (12-18-month fixed term contract - Maternity Cover)

What you’ll be doing 

This is a true generalist role providing support across all our eco systems and ensure we attract, develop and retain great people. Our unique culture and our ethos & values are at the forefront in all you do. The emphasis of the role is in L&D, Employee Engagement & Relations, Change Management and Wellbeing & Health. The role is a good mix of strategic thinking to make a business impact as well as hands-on operational HR work. The split is approximately 50/50.The role will report to our Talent Eco System Lead and you’ll be working closely with our US Talent Lead and HR Consultant.


Responsibilities:

  • Actively recruit permanent and associate members of staff, running the recruitment process through to induction in the U.K. and EMEA
  • Hands-on activities including, contracts, payroll, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, exit interviews etc.
  • Manage employee relations issues, empowering managers to proactively lead the process. Coordinate and participate in employee relation meetings and proactively monitor employee issues to provide insights and propose early interventions for the business. 
  • Ensure company policies and contracts are up to date with changing employment laws and practices, reflecting our ethos and values
  • Drive and execute annual compensation review for all our eco systems
  • Work closely with the Talent Team to deliver the Talent Plans demonstrating passion to drive key projects and initiatives through implementation and execution.
  • Together with the U.S. Talent Lead, drive our ‘We Give A Damn’ program involving activities in wellbeing and health, giving back and company events 
  • Drive and develop our Nourish Program, a development program to enhance professional and personal development of our staff.  Monitor L&D needs across the business and drive the delivery of innovative solutions.
  • Actively coach your group of coachees to help them drive their development. You’ll also act as a coach/mentor to our managers.
  • Lead from the front by living, breathing and celebrating our ethos and values


What you bring to the table

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR Management, Busineses or related field  

- CIPD qualified is a plus 

- Experience operating as a Talent Manager/Business Partner, working across various HR areas within a SME or Start-up environment 

- Demonstrative success in building a business cases and delivering relevant talent solutions 

- Ability to effectively communicate and contribute across all business streams and locations  

- Effectively express opinions based on date an successful business outcomes

- Experience coaching and mentoring others in an informal or formal setting 

- Proactive, team oriented working approach and people management as well as ability to work independently 

- Confident in interacting with staff of all levels and cultures with various work styles 

- A forward thinker with strong planning, time management skills and the ability to multitask  

- Working under variable pressure and tight deadlines
